The Head Court of the Lord Lyon

CONGRESS DELEGATE FEE

As in past Congresses we have set a fee which is as low as we think prudent. This is £265.

This covers what you would expect, ie the printed programme, the Congress bag with contents, and a copy of the Congress Proceedings when it is published. Also included are the Procession from the Trades Hall to the City Chambers, entry to the Lord Provost’s Reception, supper, and the Ceilidh, all to be held in the City Chambers on the first night. Partners of delegates are also invited to join in all these Wednesday evening activities. The cost of the Dinner, the Saturday Heraldic Visits in Glasgow, and the Three Day Tour are not included in the Delegate fee.

The names of full Congress Delegates will be included in the delegate list in the programme and the Proceedings, as in the past. It is a requirement that the Proceedings should be published. The Proceedings will, on past experience, be very expensive to produce because of the short print-run and the fact that they have to be in full colour.

DAY RATE

We have also introduced a day rate, to allow people who might not otherwise have been able to attend the full Congress, or who would like a ‘taster’ to attend a particular day only. This can be booked for no more than two days, and we shall not accept bookings for three day-tickets.

The daily rate does not include the printed programme, the Congress bag, the Congress Proceedings, or taking part in the procession and entry to the Civic Reception, the Ceilidh or attending the sitting of the Head Court of the Lord Lyon. It simply allows you to attend the lectures for the day booked. We purposely excluded everything except attendance at the lectures, to make the day fee as low as possible, hoping to attract new people to venture to a Congress.

Day tickets can be paid for online or on the morning of the day, but we cannot accept credit cards then, so cash only, please!
